…at Jay and Fernando’s was, as always, a great time. Many thanks to both gentlemen for hosting!
I’ve posted a brief gallery, but need to note: I was breaking in a new camera tonight, and thus was experimenting more than usual — resulting in a lower-than-usual “keeper” count. Forgive.
Couple of shots I really like, though, which also happen to be technically remarkable:

Pecan Pie
ISO 1800, with no noise reduction whatsoever. Converted in Aperture and sharpened (with some light curves) in Photoshop, but otherwise unmolested.
Amazing.

Trish, Posing
ISO 3200, run through the Noise Ninja Photoshop plug-in — and perfectly usable. That’s three times more sensitive than the camera it replaces.
Astonishing.
Nikon, the D300 is a triumph. Thank you.
Will get back to the Riverside gallery ASAP. Meanwhile, going to enjoy the heck out of the new hardware.

Great site Giles, and of course the pics are awesome as always!
Sorry I missed out last night but Connor and I were feeling under the weather and needed an early night. Hope to see you tonight at 1st Friday!
