Surly Bliss

Updated. One of the other Maine posts has been updated, too — please continue to scroll down. Thanks.

Taking a break from photography tonight; tropical storm Hanna is also visiting Maine this weekend, and I’m stuck indoors.

Which means an opportunity to sort through the more than seventeen hundred shots taken so far. (Damn, that’s a lot.)

Some favorites have surfaced almost immediately, however, including these couple taken yesterday in Portland:

(Signs of) Bliss

Yeah, I’m having a good time. Can ya tell? LOL.

Eventually, however, it’ll all be over — after which, all you can expect is:

Strictly Surly Service

Enjoy…;)

Update: There’s a major weather event going on here in Ogunquit, and I’m getting better upload speeds than I ever do at home. Hmph.

Meanwhile, sorted the photographs from Camden this evening, and couldn’t resist posting this one:

Camden Library and Harbor at Sunset

As I mention in the caption (all of these photos are captioned — click on any, then click again on the thumbnail), I believe Camden is the most scenic of the Maine towns I know and love. I’m sorry I could only spend one night there.

    Giles,

What of the maine-folk? Culturally speaking, is it like a whole other country up there, or do you see a lot of similarities to small-town (medium-town?) Georgia?

No, it’s definitely a whole other country.

    Not complaining, mind you…;)

Great signs. Looks like you’re having a good time in that other country.
