Cocktails, a Cute Smile, and an Interesting Quote

Enjoyed Cocktail Hour this evening at Kim Wold’s. As my “official” Cocktail Hour postings go, it’s the second in a row for her — but there have been three in the interim that I have not been able to get to. Sorry. Meanwhile, many thanks to Kim for hosting. (Again.) And a familiar-yet-still-cute boy, who [...]

Detours

Please note: I’ve been working on Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, literally, all week. It takes time to sort and develop the best of six hundred photographs, and despite being behind on posting, I needed a break. Thanks for bearing with me. Update: 73 more photographs are uploading as I type this — check the gallery [...]

Rejuvinated

I’ve been way behind on my to-do list recently, which, rather obviously, includes blogging. Many apologies. Last weekend, rather than take the time to blog, catch up, clean, or anything else, I took an opportunity to clear my head with a longer-than-usual road trip. Part of it was supposed to result in a very cool [...]

Cocktails with Jennifer

New host Jennifer Look hosted the Feb 26th edition of our Cocktail Hour get-together. Enjoyed her home, but it’s a temporary thing — she’s moving soon, to over near Mercer. Looking forward to an event in her new home soon. In honor of the move, I present a traveler: The Walking Tassel Couple of people [...]

Late, but Good

Mucho behind on blog posts. Apologies. Been incredibly busy the past few weeks, mostly precluding the more “leisurely” activities. Amongst which — for me, at least — includes blogging. Like I said, sorry. Most recently, I promised a Maine update soon. Alas, no; try as I could, the sum of those thousands of photographs is [...]

Thirteen … Cocktails

Appreciated a good time with Tagg and Angelic as hosts of this week’s get-together. As I’ve said so many times before, Cocktail Hour — and the friends it offers up regularly — is one of the reasons I enjoy Macon so much. So, this Friday the thirteenth, I offer up thirteen Cocktail Hour photographs … [...]

Cocktail Hour with John and Elizabeth

Enjoyed a really nice — if too short — Cocktail Hour tonight. Alas, due to workload, it was literally an hour (well, a little plus — not enough), so only a few photographs from the evening. But one I like of the hosts. Both of ‘em: John’s there. Check carefully. (Yes, this photograph was also [...]

Cocktail Hour

…at Kevin and Betsy’s last week was, as expected, great. Thanks to everyone for a fantastic time. I said recently that I’m glad to be surrounded by beautiful women. Betsy is definitely amongst that group…: Betsy, Interested One of the images forever imprinted on my brain: Giles, trudging up the side of [a very cold [...]

Plains, Americus, Andersonville, Preston, and Columbus, Georgia

Enjoyed a great photostroll with Gerald and Phillip last Saturday, starting with a quick stop in Preston, Georgia, followed by a longer-than-expected stop in Plains (home of President Jimmy Carter), Americus, and finally a shorter-than-expected stop in Andersonville. (We settled in just as they closed. Sheesh.) It was especially interesting to visit the Carter visitor’s [...]

Photo(s) of the Day

Enjoyed the first Cocktail Hour of the year tonight, courtesy of Dan and Monica — whose ability to draw a crowd remains without parallel. I’d estimate 50+ people, including more than a few new faces. Welcome. Meanwhile, got approximately 25 photographs from this first-of-2009 gathering, which will be posted tomorrow. Update: posted. Enjoy. As a [...]
