On Cocktails, Cars, and (Cute) Cats
Settling in for a long weekend in front of the computer, starting with a combined photography post — involving all of the items mentioned in the title: cocktails, cars, and some “new” cute cats. Four Cs, posted up.
Okay!
Working backwards, I took literally a dozen photographs at Cocktail Hour last night; I don’t know whether I was intimidated by being in another photographer‘s home, or just tired from a chaotic few weeks, but twelve photographs. Hello!?
Further, perhaps almost predictably, of the five I’ve posted, none feature faces — only stuff. Sheesh.

Pink, Emphasized
Always in search of reflections, this was appreciated:

Then there’s the “new kids” in the neighborhood. Dan and Monica — and that fifth “C,” Connor — have added a couple of kittens to the household. Meet the girl, Fig:

And the boy, Hicks:

The third shot is of the Fig, uh, more or less:

Scratching Post (with Abstract Kitten)
A cute girl, a strong boy, and a blurry-yet-somehow-right kitten, all exactly what you’d expect from Giles. Enjoy…;)
Meanwhile, as I’m posting this, Socks — another kitten adopted here in Macon [some four years ago, now —Ed.] — is asleep next to me. Nice.
Last but not least, a follow-up on the GTI post. Gerald mentioned that he wants to add some flags to his Mini’s mirrors, and lo and behold, I bumped into a Cooper S so equipped:

(Flagged) Mirror
Damn, if the 70–200 and D3 don’t fracking rock; note details like the clouds reflected on the mirror, and that same mirror reflected, along with the streetscape, in the car’s paint. That’s some “slightly different focus,” taken from several meters away. Awesome.
More in the Automotive gallery, the Cats (Dogs, etc.) gallery, and those five photographs from last night’s Cocktail Hour. Enjoy.
Soon: More MagTard photographs — this time in practice, that snapshots post that’s been lurking about for months now, and more on that obscure project I’ve mentioned. Thanks for checking back.
