Independence Day, 2008
As my blog readers know, I’ve been having some equipment problems recently. For Independence Day, however, my camera raised a flag and celebrated the long-overdue Unity — out of 446 photographs Friday (taken in about three hours of straight shooting), I kept 309, starred 185, and multi-starred 90. Remarkable. More: The first four-star images in, well, too long. Niiice.
To everyone attending: Thank you. An Independence Tonic much needed.
It’s been a hella week, with many long hours, twists, and turns — such that this long, Independence Day weekend is a welcome one.
…And after a great afternoon and evening Friday, it shows:

JB’s (Fourth) Sparkler
I enjoyed rudely getting in people’s faces, too. Here’s Heather:

“Always in the Way,” Says Heather. (“True,” Says Giles.)
You betcha. Sorry…;)
Meanwhile, Heather and Justin’s nephews were at the party — and were photogenic enough to earn their own gallery. Gotta love some kids having fun:

Sean (Two Fingers)
Sean and his older brother, Evan, were visiting Macon this weekend. Hope they all visit again soon — obviously, they enjoyed themselves:

Expressive “Eh”
Happy Fourth, everyone:

Lighting Up (the Fireworks)
71 photographs posted. Enjoy.

Wow! Those pictures definitely capture the fun we Cutway-Hardek’s had on the Fourth. It was an honor to meet all of Justin and Heather’s friends. They are so far from family. It makes a big sister feel much better knowing they’ve found a wonderful community of people to count on. When we asked Evan and Sean what the best part of our trip to the South was, it wasn’t the day at the waterpark or the endless hours of video game play with U. Justin. It was the Fourth of July party. Thanks for the kindness you all showed our little men and your great hospitality. See you soon!
