Happy New Year
So … 2009.
Which means, if nothing else, that 1999 was ten years ago. Yep, gettin’ old.
Meanwhile, enjoyed the heck out of a New Year’s Eve party at Creighton and Carolyn’s last night — and brought along the camera. Took more than I expected, too, netting a very-holiday-like 25 items posted.
Including three people photographs I really, really like. Starting, of course, with the boy:

(Excitable) Connor, Restrained
Everyone was dressed to the nines — as usual, I missed the memo — the assembled crowd looked great. The women … Heidi, Holly, Angelic, Monica, Heather, Carolyn, well, pretty much all of them, looked amazing. Trish, especially. Damn, it’s nice to be a photographer around here…;)
Appropriate credit given, it’s this one making the top three:

Leah’s Classic Portrait
Beautiful.
Then there’s Vance. Not [necessarily, depending on your point of view — Ed.] “beautiful,” but nonetheless the third of the people photographs I feel really work:

Vance, Outside
However, there’s more to the set than people — as usual, those of the famed “slightly different focus.” From these photographs, despite Carey’s amazing tree (not to mention the hosts’ home), this one’s my fave:

Sippy Cup
Like the above, each photograph has a story — which, when put together, add up to an even better story — so this set is captioned. Follow the link, then click on the first tumbnail, then use the arrows to navigate. Enjoy.
Best wishes to you and yours in the New Year.
Special mention to Myra, whose name I got wrong twice in less than an hour. Many thanks for bearing with me!
