Happy Thanksgiving

As I’ve said many times, one of the primany reasons I live in Macon is the people I’ve come to know and appreciate.

Case in point: Thanksgiving. I’m delighted to be amongst friends here in Macon.

As one of those friends, Dan (who happened to host today’s get-together), assured another guest earlier tonight, I can go an entire evening and not take a photograph of a person — only stuff, things … those items of the famed “slightly different focus.”

However, I couldn’t resist this moment between Monica and Linda’s 4-month-old daughter, toothlessly chomping on Monica’s nose:

Forgive the motion. Girl wouldn’t stay still…;)

Another shot of Linda and a couple of Dan and Monica’s son Conner aside, the rest of tonight’s shots are indeed of “stuff.” Including Dan’s amazing grilled* turkey:

Incredibly tasty. But I have to admit — my favorite was the sausage:

From Macon’s new Fresh Market, expertly prepared (in wine and lentils, no less) by Dan. Well done, sir.

And to all: thank you. A wonderful day.

25 photographs in the Thanksgiving gallery. Enjoy.

* While it’s done in a baking dish, it’s on a grille over a charcoal fire — and just about the tastiest turkey, ever.
