Mid-February Update
It’s been a screwy couple of weeks, with unexpected details finishing up construction around the house, several folks falling down stairs — including yours truly, hereafter known as “Mr. Grace” (not), and sweet Trish, who did some damage to herself on the trip down (no pun intended) — and an all-too-short visit to Florida. Get well soon, Trish, and Happy Birthday, Mom!
Oh, and … snow. In Macon, Georgia, very much part of the South, for the second time in two years — this where it’s only supposed to happen once every ten years.
Better still: I’ve actually been out and about with the camera over the past few weeks, including an early-Feb Cocktail Hour, another this past week, and a few “snowy” shots around the house — then again at Rose Hill [Cemetery, my standard practice area —Ed.] the day after the storm.
Which is where this is from:

Tip o’ Snow (to Macon, Georgia)
This, too, one of my very favorite recent photographs:

Draped (on Both Sides Now)
Great couple of days. Stay tuned for more from both.
Meanwhile, I mentioned some Cocktails, which netted great new photographs of people I care about in moments I’m glad to have captured — like this:

Mom and Son, Happy (#3)
Rebecca has been after me for a while to catch up with back items, and I’m more than glad that she could have a reward for her patience. Keep it up — I’ll keep shooting! (Also: Happy 39th, R!)
Fast forward to this past week’s Cocktails, and a candid shot I really like:

Monica (and Pam)
Love Monica’s expression here — she’s both checking in on the boy and fueling up for more conversation, while obviously enjoying where she left off in the previous one; I always like taking to Pam [Thomasson, of Kentucky Derby fame —Ed.], too — check out Monica’s “I’m satisfied” smile. Awesome.
Then there are the “typically-Giles” photographs, like this one:

Diesel 10 (Comes to Cocktail Hour)
Devious? Sure — I’m only posting some previews, in all three galleries, over on my photo site…;)
Seriously, stay tuned for 50+ photographs to join the collection(s) later this week, followed by a second quick update … and then something rather significant in the weeks following. Thanks for checking back.
