Breakfast at Wimbledon

Breakfast at Wimbledon

Okay, not exactly — but this new kitchen on Wimbledon, in North Macon, is a great room to enjoy a breakfast!

Bickley Design Build Services, the folks doing the remodel on my home, noticed that I was taking some photographs — and asked me to turn my lenses towards another of their recent projects.

For the record: I’m an architectural junkie. I was raised on stuff like This Old House, and would actually like to have been an architect … if my brain were up the engineering. At 40, I’ve found happiness as an artist and photographer, and the opportunity to photograph newly-remodeled spaces — feeding the closet architect — is delightful.

For Mr. S. and Kaylee, the sweet dog who was kind enough to share her space, the new kitchen is pretty delightful, too:

Yeah. She’s into it, LOL:

Some great details in this project:

The pop-up downdraft fan on the stove, shown above, is far and away my favorite of those details — awesome.

My favorite of the photographs, however, is this one:

This just-finished kitchen is a job well done. I hope Mr. and Mrs. S. — and Kaylee — enjoy it for years to come.

31 photographs of this great project.

Meanwhile, an update from my not-yet-finished kitchen — now with an island:

The latest from my project is here.

Up next: more from Kelly and Steve, as we gave up waiting for sun — and just took more fantastic photographs.
