MagTard’s Launch Party — Sort Of
This past Friday night, at EJ’s loft in downtown Macon, MagTard held a launch party for their new CD. While it started at nine, I didn’t get there until almost 9:30 — but knew I had plenty of time before folks really got into the evening.
Miles and Trish were there:

I don’t get a chance to see them nearly often enough, so since it was still early, I spent a good deal of my time hanging out with them, or just wandering, saying hello to folks, and snapping a few photographs:

Several are pretty good. I like this one:

I like how the above gives a sense of the great space, a perfect venue for this sort of gathering.
Then we got to Monica’s cup, newly ‘stached:

…And that’s it. It was only 11, and MagTard hadn’t even made it on-stage yet. But, at that moment, the camera stopped taking photographs.
Why? Because I’m stupid, and screwed up trying to fix it enough that I had to head back home — and then made the mistake of making sure I could get to and use what I’d taken that day [there was another session, from that afternoon, stuck on there as well —Ed.] rather than just grab new cards and go back out.
Turns out I could, and got all of the photographs imported by about three a.m. But by then I was pretty sure I’d missed the show.
DAMN.
Enjoy the 25 from what amounts to the pre-game show, complete with captions, here. And thanks for bearing with me.
I loved them all!
