A Detour: Home
Well, I have to admit to a huge mistake: stacking too many things, too close together.
Less than a week from my return from Maine, the work on my home began. That meant that before I could even unpack from the trip, I was packing … the house. It’s turned in a very big deal indeed.
Many apologies for not yet posting up anything from Maine. They’re almost ready; I just need to finish. Soon.
Meanwhile, destruction rules. I could literally stand out there all day with a camera, but that probably wouldn’t be helpful. I’ve been doing my best to stay out of the way — but, of course, there are some photographs.
Starting with, well, what started it all. Meet the bathroom floor:

The Hole (That Started it All)
The bathroom as it appears now:

A little scary, huh?
That’s not the half of it. Fixing the back porch and that problem with the eggs running to the front of the pan — because the stove has had an inch-and-a-half tilt — I ran into more than I expected.
Thankfully, things are in good hands:

The view from where my couch was. Holy crap.
21 photographs in the gallery, so far. More to come — thanks for your patience.
Next: Maine. Seriously.
Special thanks to Jody, pictured above; James and Bickley Design-Build for the work; Robert Anderson for his time; Gerald, Doug, and the folks who have supported me along the way; and Mom, for the Maine experience — and the house help. More soon.
