August 13 = Fall. (Even before Cocktails.)

Cocktail Hour marked its return from the summer hiatus this past Thursday, and I was there with a camera. It was nice to see folks, including hosts Gerald and Autumn, also marking a return — this time, from their trip to England.

Gerald was also using the occasion to start the celebration of his 40th birthday, apparently a multi-day thing. In deference, I’m not posting any photographs of him…;)

Meanwhile, let’s talk about the summer hiatus ending on August 13th. Tons of college professors in the room, ramping up for the start of classes in the next week or two, while the local teachers in the room were talking about how the first week of classes were going. Remember when fall was, well, in the fall?

Sheesh.

Speaking of which, no matter who is getting together or where, everyone wound up in the kitchen. Why does that always happen?
